anyway speaking of rent - im gonna air out some under garments here
so I'm not going to go into how my current roommate of 2 yrs is a manic passive aggressive biatch - no not all - not gonna go into how she conveniently misunderstood things when I interviewed her and thought I was doing to pay 40 bucks more than her a month because my room has a potty diretly adjacent to my beddy bye - whatevs
not gonna go into the drama of when I told her that I realized how I was vague but no longer down to be punished eternally with a montly $20 fine and that it was going to be equal pay from here on out. but real quick - she had her friggin lawyer brother right this ridiculous as hell letter that was all legal terms and stated things like "if any parties of the Cargile roommate are found in the Kang roommate's parking spot said party's vehicle will be towed" - I refused to sign it - the relationship since was like nuked ice from there on out. fine whatever - its cool to live with a stranger
but now she's leaving and I've actually found someone that reminds me a lot of me...well me! he's from Dallas - me - an aspiring actor - me - and uh ya know whatever - good vibe
anyway well Miss Technical wen through this whole legal mumbo jumbo as per usual when she announced that she was leaving - with this formal letter to the management company where it stated that she expected her half of the security deposit 3 weeks after termination.
Ya, my Fashion Buyer Sister could kick your Lawyer Brothers as in a Who's Best at Their Trade game cuz dumbass didnt even know to tell her that in a roommate situation BOTH parties have to vacate for the landlord to return the deposit and Stereo aint going No Whereo.
So easy solution right? I told her that I'd have the new roommate put down a deposit and I would then pay her half of the original deposit. She says ok and then leaves and I soon get an email reading "I thought about it and think it would be better/easier if the new tenant paid me directly."
OK WTF? Why does it matter? Why are you so concerned about saving me a trip to the bank?
I didnt respond right away and she wrote me back in a panic saying she needed a response so she could contact the management co. right away. Um, why the fuck are you contacting them? They stated that its between us. Geez. I told her that I think it would be weird to ask someone to write a check for that much to someone they don't know and will never meet or have a relationship with.
In the mean time, I'm getting closer and closer to sealing deal with new guy. I did make the effort and I asked him if he could send me a deposit and first months rent. To which he asked if it was ok to just send the deposit since we haven't actually met and there is a risk factor.
And you know what? I said sure because he's in the right and so am I and I'm not going to let her weirdness sore things form the start. Know what I mean.
Anyway, about that time I get an email from her stating that she STILL WOULD PREFER it if the new tenant wrote the check to her and we could set up a meeting and explain the situation.
WTF??????????
Now I'm just insulted. Why are you being so persistent on this? What is the motivation? Do you think I'm shady? Cuz you're starting to look kinda shady.
Also, and this might be the reason for her which makes me sick to consider, the POINT of the deposit at this point is to show me how serious you are about this so I'll stop talking to other potentials, and if for any reason you change your mind last minute - then I use the deposit to pay rent for May.
But of course - this would delay her getting her money....so is that why she's doing this?
