So, I'm doing a promo for "MILK" and they urge us to ask stores to let us put our post cards on their counters and posters in their windows....I'm kinda used to making this happen at Hot Topic - but this promo I've been assigned to Beverly Hills and Armani was just not that into it...
but..I did pass by an antique store that I'd usually keeping passing by..but well...the film is "MILK" about a assasinated Gay Activist...and the ownerish looking elderly man standing out front in red leather tightass pants made me think he might be sympatheitc to the cause eh? So I in my spiel I threw in the poster posting request.
although he hesitated his answer - I could see the no sale sign in his eyes -so I switched gears towards letting me leave some post cards...and he said he would take some of the post cards....
I then asked if I could take a picture of them on his counter as that's how I get paid. His reply-
"well i just don't know you see...if I let one have their say...well then the next thing you know everyone sees it as only fair and their right to have their say...you see?"
I said "no problem- I completely understand - here's those post cards - thank you and happy holidays!" and by that I meant - "you ancient fucking Queen, I don't wanna have my say- Harvey Milk did - I just wanna take a picture of post cards on a counter...its not for my "say" its for my "pay" - and I really don't think that the promo kids of LA are gonna hear my camera click and then flock like ferrets to make sure their flyers are all over this antique store where all the cool kids will see them...especially since no one can see past your horrid horribly horrible gayass red leather tight ass pants....thank you and happy holidays!"
Happy Human Rights Day Everybody!
disclaimer: this be satire...the only thoughts I really had about this main at the time was a general "WTF" and an "um..ok"...so please no on sue Stereo for antique owner in red leather defamation.

Lol, I'm laughing but I feel your pain. People like that drive me crazy. Sometimes stupid people make it hard to be diplomatic.
